A start of a new day!

[Gemmy]

Gempaw emerged from the apprentice's den just after the sun is at the treetops, not sunhigh yet, but about. She yawned, her mouth stretched wide open as she stretched from head to toe, her tail stuck up high and she did a flip, landing on her back as she stretched again, kicking her legs up then relaxing them, letting them flop back down, she took a deep breathe, taking in the crispy air as she sighed delightedly. She rolled on her stomach again and jumped up, trotting around camp, saying good morning to everyone she sees. She settled herself for a breakfast as she grabbed a small mouse from the fresh kill pile.

"Somebody looks awake," Foxflame grumbled as she emerged from the warriors den with a frown. She hadn't gotten much sleep, and that always made her cranky.

Hailstrike came up from behind his sister and meowed, "Stop being a grump." Then he grabbed a piece of freshkill and sat down next to Gempaw. "She didn't get enough sleep, don't worry about her," he murmured with a wink. Foxflame just glared at him and turned around back into the warriors den.

[Gemmy]

Gempaw laughed, "good morning Foxflame" she mewed, dipping her head to the warrior then turned to Hailstrike, "and good morning to you too, Hailstrike" she purred. She looked back to Foxflame who is returning to her den, "have a good sleep" she called after her, then took another bite out of her mouse. "Is anything special going on aroudn here?" she asked Hailstrike who is beside her, "i'm not that good at being updated.." she explained

"There's nothing much going on today Gempaw." said Leafstar from a few tail lengths away in a friendly voice. "Do you have a mentor yet Gempaw. If you don't then who would you like to be your mentor?'

[Gemmy]

Gempaw turned to her leader, "Leafstar!" she purred, "good morning Leafstar" she mewed, she hopped up, trotting over to her, her face lit up, "no i don't have a mentor yet...and i dunno who i want for a mentor" she mewed, "whoever you want really" she purred

Leafstar purred at the apprentice,"Hailstrike would you like to mentor Gempaw? Gempaw would Hailstrike be alright?" Leafstar was still a new leader and wanted her clan to trust her and her desions. "Think about it, until then I will be in my den resting." With that Leafstar nodded and turned to returne to her den.

"Hailstrike!?" she squealed then purred happily, "of course i would like Hailstrike to be my mentor! But of course, it's Hailstrike's decision" she purred, then turend to Hailstrike

"Hailstrike it has been a while since you had a mentor would you like to take Gempaw as your apprentice?" said Leafstar as she turned to look at the warriror

"Yeah, sure," Hailstrike's face lit up in pure pleasure. He was long overdue for an apprentice. He could still remember when Freesong got her apprentice and how jealous he was. A shadow flitted across his face ever so briefly wondered where Freesong had disappeared to. He focused back on the conversation immediately. "I'd love to mentor Gempaw."

[Gemmy]

Gempaw purred happily, hopping from side to side, "WHEN DO WE START TRAINING? WHEN DO WE START TRAINING?" she asked over and over again, she couldn't wait to become a warrior

Leafstar purred with amusment."Lets announce it to the clan and then you can start traning when Hailstrike wants to." She knew that this was a good desiosion. She looked at Gempaw and saw herself as an apprentice. "I'll go call the clan now.

[Gemmy]

"YEAH!!" Gempaw purred loudly, she bounced around camp as she waited for Leafstar's famliar words to call the clan

[glow=red,2,300]Leafstar stepped up to her rock and let her voice ring out."Let all cats old enough to catch there own prey gather here beneth high rock for a short clan meeting." She saw the shapes of cats begingto move and come out. She Looked down and watited gor Hailstrike and Gempaw to step forward.[/glow]

Fernlight crossly stood up from her sunning spot near the edge of camp and padded over to the middle of the clearing and sat down with a plump.

Foxflame, cross at being awoken yet again, stomped out of the warrior's den and sat as far away as possible from her mother. No cat wants to be around when Foxflame and Fernlight clashed heads, especially not this early in the day. It was not pretty.

Leafstar saw most of her clan Gathered and then she spoke"Today I presents to Thunderclan Gempaw's new mentor Hailstrike. He has waited for a long time for an apprentice and he has aggreed that he would like Gempaw as an apprentice." With that she jumped down and went ot talk to Foxflame. "Foxflame can I have a word with you?" yowled Leafstar from a few tail lengths away.

Ngihtpaw looked at his leader wanting to know when he would het a mentor. He was two moons older than Gempaw anyways." I'm going to go ask her about that!"
